Please help!! Application questions

Hi everyone!!

I went to submit my application today, but before I did I saw the warning that said the evaluation section locks when you do so. I still have to ask an MD I shadowed if he would write me a LOR so I didn't add an entry for that yet. Could anyone who has submitted already tell me if it is possible to add another LOR entry or if you are completely locked out?? And if so, what should I do? I really want to get my app in queue to be verified, but several of my programs need a physician LOR... help please!
 
Did you read the application faqs? In fact, did you even read the application under the evaluation section? It says right there right on your app.

"You may update the information in this section at any time prior to submission. Once you have submitted, you will be able to add more evaluations, but you will not be able to update or delete."

By the way, they strongly prefer a physician letter NOT from an MD, but a DO.

Yes, I have looked at the instructions. A lot. The reason I'm concerned is because when you input your payment info, this is what it says:

The program applications you are paying for will submit upon payment.
Once you pay & submit your application, you will not be able to edit specific portions of your application. The following sections of your application will lock upon submission:

  • Evaluations
  • Documents
  • Questions
  • Transcript Entry
Then, in the instructions here is what it says:

Once you e-submit your application, your AACOMAS application is locked and you may NOT make changes to it. The only sections you may change after submitting are: your contact information, your password and security information, references which have a status of “new” or “in-progress” and you may add additional schools to apply to. You may also addNEW experiences, achievements, certifications, and test scores, but you can NOT edit those already entered. All other sections will be read-only. Make sure you check over your application information closely before e-submitting to avoid any errors as these cannot be corrected later.

AKA, I read it as though you can only edit evaluation entries that already exist and that have a status of new or in progress.

I'm really not asking for opinions as to whether an MD letter is ok or not. Just want to ask someone that has submitted whether they can add a new evaluation entry or can only edit existing entries.

You just answered your own question...You can add a new entry. You just can't change existing entries with letters already received.

It says status of "new."

If you go to evaluations, it tells you that you can add more evaluations if you wish after you submit it.
