Has anyone taken out a private loan beyond your cost of attendance? My wife is starting at UTSA dental in July and I am opening a law practice at the same time so obviously we need all the $$$ we can get. Has anyone been able to get one of these loans or do the schools prevent it? Thanks.

no you can go for it, but be careful on the interest rates and such
also these cannot be consolidated with federal loans later
i would wait for your federal package to come in before you decide to do this
