Hello there,
I recently gave my exam on 29th dec, and i got my scores last week ..i got a 90%... i too gave my exam after 9 yrs..so dont worry, you can start studying by having a very systematic approach.
First start by studying for atleast 5-6 hrs per day and slowly increase the time.
The best notes for ref:

First get hold of
Kaplan notes NBBE part 1
Dental decks 2012-2013
Previous ASDA papers
First Aid for NBDE 1
If you can listen to USMLE videos..they are very helpful. (I took Kaplan classes for 3 mnths as i felt the same way..that i ve not touched my books for 9 years)

Start studying subject wise or do one subject / day..thats what i did ..so you dont get sucked into just one subject..

For Anatomy..
1. Read NBDE first aid..(Gives u a very good outline of what needs to studied)..
2. Now that u ve an outline try to search for the same topics and study those in detail..ref (Chaurasia Head & Neck ) and see what Decks has for those topics...read thoroughly...
3. Kaplan notes are good for Embryology & Histology..not good for Head & Neck portions.
3. Make notes..subject is very volatile..i made separate notes with titles like ..
a) Nerves..Cranial nerves are very important..ld a whole lot of questions on Trigeminal..
b) Arteries
c) Veins
d) Muscles
When you study about any new nerve or artery..include it in these notes..slowly you will start correlating the subject.

For Physio :
Kaplan notes + USMLE videos + BRS (Linda Costanza) is very good..
Then ref Decks for all the topics and make notes..

For Biochem :
Lippincott is the best ..just start studying from scratch...say Carbohydrates..read the basics very well..and then go to the metabolic cycles..they appear very difficult initially...make notes again..and give importance to DNA, RNA Transcription , Translation ..study from Wikipedia if the text s too hard..

For Micro/Path:
Micro..You need to create a lot of mneumonics to remember the material ..
I did read somewhere that there's a book "Micro made simple" with mneumonics..i did not refer ..so i dont know how good it is.. (Kaplan notes & Decks are very good) ..make a note of your keywords or mneumonics..so the week before exam..if you just read these notes ..you will remember about the entire bacteria or virus..

Patho:
NBDE firs aid , Kaplan notes & Decks..very good
Study it system wise..associate it with anatomy and physiology..for each system.

For DA/Occlusion :
Kaplan notes and Decks are good for DA
Occlusion : Okeson s a must..first 6 chapter..and esp the 6th chapter...and TMJ anatomy & biomechanics..concentrate on these topics..very very important...

As you are progressing , try to rearrange the Decks "system wise"...eg say you are studying Nervous system or Endocrine system:
Get the anatomy, physiology, pathology sections together..and study them..you will correlate better..

Well, all the best for your preparation, dont get stressed out..take a lot of breaks..and make a timetable and try to stick to it..within a month you will start feeling better as you will be getting deeper into the subjects..i ve been through this journey of frustration and feeling low ..so just stay focused and study hard !!..

Want ads are not permitted outside of the classifieds. Also you need to take te exam a little more seriously rather than ask everyone here to give you exactly what you need to study. Every study aid has already been reviewed on the forums. Please take the time and read the information posted here. Good luck.
