hey guys i have t-minus 94days (~13.5 weeks) left until my test.
I am at a loss as to what resources i should cover. So far i have just bought a bunch of books people told me were good. I was wondering if getting through First Aid, Goljan RR, and USMLE World were enough to cover most the topics and do well. I am also listening to Goljan audio when i drive to class but thats just like in 15-20minutes chunks. a realistic goal i set for myself would be just to score at around the average or a little better (~220-230?)

i consider myself to be a VERY slow reader and my attention span is ridiculously poor unless its dangerously close to test time (i like to cram). I am just worried that i won't have enough time to cover more resources. I also still have classes going full steam for another ~9weeks. I am looking around my school and there are tons of people that have already gone through first aid once and done so many other things... and i just feel left in the dust.

any advice would be much appreciated! thanks a lot!

Don't compare your pace to others. Everyone takes their own time. Try doing lots of qs besides this. USMLERx, Kaplan q bank, etc if you get more time.

mcatsuc.... hi,

You may feel overwhelmed right now with all that u have in Ur plate. You have come a long way, and u do know more than u think U do.

Use ur time wisely, and I agree with mddoc1, 100 percent.....
JUST DO UR THING...
Its like when u r in a race, u need to do ur thing to get to the finishline.

Day by day--- Just maximize YOUR potentials, and give it ur all whatever that maybe. U will get there eventually.

I am a tremendous SLOW READER--- it might take me longer, to get thru what others do in less time, but when I put my mind to it even it takes me longer and more time, I still get the same amt of material done.
US SLOW READERS---We just have to work harder, But if we put our mind to it--WE DO FINISH.

To help u go thru FA faster, maybe u should look into the Falcon-FA AUDIO/VISUAL new that they have(i just learned about them here in test prep week), or DIT or something to help with ur slow reading situation.

DO MANY QUESTIONS---that is key...
And for us slow READERS WE MUST TIME OURSELVES doing the questions... to get speed & stamina for test day.....

I really wish u the best of luck,
Believe in urself, u have come so far,....
Good Luck in Ur studies

FA+RR+UW have long been the holy trinity of SDN Step 1 prep, so I'd say it should be "good enough."

My opinion: look at the page counts of FA, RR, and the question count in UW (something like 2100 or so? I forget), and look at the number of calendar days you have left which you'll be using to study. Exclude the occasional day off, etc. Figure out how many pages and/or questions you'll need to do daily to get through the material in however fast you want to get through it to allow yourself some reviewing, second passes, focusing on weaknesses, whatever you feel you need to do. Do not burn yourself out, but at the same time, only you know how to make this an optimal schedule -- not me or anyone else.

I'm getting geared up for this mother****er myself, and that's been my approach. Slow and steady, man. One bite at a time.
