Hey everyone!

Please help me!!!!!!!
I apologize for posting one of these ABC vs DEF school questions but I am seriously torn between the two! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am out of state for both schools.

Thanks a million!

are these two your only choices? Personally the 5 year commiment to stay in OHIO is a bit demanding to me. On the other hand, VCOM is pretty much a brand new school with its first graduating class this spring, but they do get season tickets for Tech football 👍 , maybe wait until the VCOM match list is out to see how their first graduates faired. Tough choice but im sure many others would like to be in your shoes.

Definately, OUCOM. They have been around a long time, have a great track record, and are involved with some fine residency programs. I have a cousin who graduated from there, and he thought the experience and education were second to none.

VCOM hasn't even graduated it's first class yet, so there is absolutely no history on what kinds of residency programs there grads get into. I'm not sure that anyone even knows their overall board performance.

Good luck.

Don't listen to some of these people who have never been to these schools. These are my 2 favorite schools. you can't go wrong with either one of them. I chose vcom and it is a great school. The dean came from kcom so she knows what she's doing and she has a great reputation among her peers.this years class i know had at least a 90% pass rate on the comlex and it might come in at over 95%. That being said I too really struggled between the schools. Oucom is beautiful and is also a great school, so you can't go wrong either way! Good luck!🙂 🙂

OUCOM grad here. The CORE system in Ohio is very good. Many training institutions (allopathic included) in Ohio are very familiar with the quality grads produced by OU. We have people at just about every major post grad training site in the state. Strong DO state.

Ditto. I don't think you can go wrong with OUCOM unless you have a really strong aversion to Ohio.

oucom definitely if your ok with that commitment (your out of state?) I am assuming you are ok with it since you applied.
