Please Help: Should I retake?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Ask yourself if 1. You WANT to retake it to improve your score, and 2. You're willing to go through the study process all over again, but this time in more detail/focus.

If you are passionate about both, then yes I say go retake it, because your score can only improve. If either one of those answers is no, then I suggest not, because not only will you not WANT a better score/want to improve, you'll most likely be disappointed with your second DAT scores.

basically this...are you willing to to dedicate even more studying this time around, are you willing to throw another 360 dollars to take test again, and are you confident you will score higher. If you are confident you will score higher then take it again, but if there are doubts then you shouldn't retake.

I'd say no but I'm one who avoided taking the DAT like the bubonic plague and I would never take that cursed thing again.

I so agree. I would not retake. The DAT scores are pretty good, like average. And the GPA is average-ish too.

Just apply to private schools. See what happens.

Apply with those scores ... but I would plan on retaking the DAT. Retaking it alone is not going to help you, but try to go all out, your absolute best on this 2nd try.👍

If an overall GPA of 3.45 is average, and science of 3.35 is average, what would be considered above average overall and science? What about excellent overall gpa and science gpa?

Depends on the school.

"Above Average" to me is sitting around 3.6-3.7. "Excellent" sits around 3.8. "Holy s*** this guy is a genius" sits at 4.0.
