Iowa is a great school, keep it. Now the athletics...👎 😛...

For what it's worth, BU was pretty brutal last year in terms of their rejections. I was told that they weigh volunteer/community service heavily.

Generally Florida schools are very hard to get into if you're not a resident.

Are you a reapplicant?
If so, what do you think happened last time?

As a reapplicant, I'd apply to as many schools as possible.

Yes, I'm a reapplicant. Last year i had a lower MCAT (28O), no volunteering, and I applied in September. This time around I've improved in each of those areas.

Wow! I think you're a great choice for any of the Texas schools... are you a new Texas resident? Where did you interview last year?

As a re-applicant myself I did not re-apply to any schools that give preference to in-state students. I am a Texas resident and applied to all the Texas schools, b/c I get that in state preference, but figured if I was a long shot for an out of state school why would it matter?

I am also applying to D.O. schools this year, they don't tend to give as much preference to in state students as most of them are private.

For some reason, it seems like everyone applies to BU. I'd cut it (despite liking the school myself) if you are trying to get rid of some, because I think it has a very low acceptance rate due to all the applications they receive.

I'm a long time TX resident; did my undergrad at UT. Last year I only applied to a handful of schools, so this year I figured I would avoid that mistake.

Thanks for all the insight!
