I did some research on my own but man..I am still very unsure of how best to secure my future loans for next year.

I will be attending one of the private universities such as NYU,BU or Tufts and am a Canadian citizen with a U.S citizen co-signer (my aunt). In short, I know I'll need to take out about 70K a year, so any tips on which institutions/banks/loan programs to focus on would be much appreciated.

Also, can I apply for loans right now or do I have to wait until I have an official acceptance?

Thanks

There was a canadian at my NYU interview and the financial advisor informed him that he has no federal loan options, but he can apply for lots of different private loans. I know KEY BANK gives out huge amounts for graduate studies, but you can only apply 90 days before school starts. I don't think you should worry too much because many of the school will help you out by giving you many different loan options. Relax and good luck.
