- cGPA: 3.67, sGPA: 3.52, MCAT 506 (124/128/126/128)
- Florida Resident, but have ties to Puerto Rico, North Carolina, and Illinois (close family living in all), URM (Hispanic & Woman), went to UF
- Clinical Experience: 5380 hours as an MA, 172 shadowing hours (141 hrs were virtual shadowing a variety of specialties and fields (MDs, DOs, PAs, NPs, CRNAs, Nutritionists, etc.) and 31 hours shadowing an anesthesiologist), 54 hours clinical volunteering, 80 research hours
- Non-clinical Experience: 112 hours Planned parenthood volunteering, 383 hours ROTC affiliated hours, 755 ROTC hours, 200 hours in a leadership program (first as a member and then as a director)
- Took a gap year to deal with family matters/their emotional tolls (multiple consecutive deaths) and to work, but did not do much volunteering during this (mainly just working with some research/shadowing)

I have applied to all FL schools, but am trying to compile my list of out of state schools to apply to given my stats/their OOS friendliness, and could use some help please 🙂 I'm open to MD and DO suggestions.

Thank you! Are they all relatively out of state friendly?

Welcome to the forums.

Are you fluent in Spanish? Have you looked at the Puerto Rico MD programs? Would you be interested in attending them?
Thank you! And yes I am, but it is a lot more conversational and I would definitely have to brush up on my medical spanish a lot. I am completely open to attending an MD program in Puerto Rico, especially as I have a really strong social/familial network there, but am unsure if I should apply as I only took 1 Spanish class taken in college, and thought that they required at least one full year of it. I also can't seem to find if they tend to be OOS friendly or favor PR residents.

MSAR suggests all 4 schools are open to OOS, but check their websites or their admissions teams to confirm.
