Hey everyone, so I will be applying this coming cycle, but I have something concerning me.

I have been a Texas resident since almost a decade ago, but a couple of months ago my parents moved to Arizona.

I called ADEA and they said I will be longer be considered an in-state student whereas when I called Texas schools like Baylor they told me as long as my parents moved within 6 months prior to me applying, I can still be considered an in-state student? I am so confused.

I have posted a thread similar to this before, but the answer still seems unclear to me.

Do I apply through the exclusive Texas dental application? or ADEA AADSAS? Because either way I really want Texas schools to know Texas is my home and where I want to go to dental school in...Please help me.

Thank you...

If your parents moved a "couple" of months ago, when you apply to TMDSAS on May 1st, will it have been longer than 6 months?

I'd E-MAIL the schools (not call) and get written consent that you will still be considered in-state when you apply. That way, you have concrete proof when you apply through TMDSAS.

For anything outside of Texas, you'll use AADSAS... but I'm sure you know that. 🙂

You didn't answer... will it still be within 6 months? 🙂
Oh sorry! Um it might come really close to 6 months. But I just contacted one of the three Texas schools and they said if I go to a Texas university/college I will not lose my residency. Unfortunately I go to a private school in Atlanta...ughhh I will keep asking to see what I can do though.
