Apply to all your Texas schools and you should receive several interviews. For OOS you could try the newer schools such as Quinnipiac, Oakland Beaumont, NOVA MD. Tulane also accepts some Texans. There may be new schools opening for 2019 such as Seton Hall, Kaiser, Roseman.

GPA: 3.85 cGPA, 3.9 sGPA
- I had an upward GPA trend from a 3.45
MCAT: 510 (127/125/129/129)
Race: Asian Male
Residency: TX

I'm a junior and plan on applying this upcoming cycle. I'm not sure which schools to apply to. I plan on applying to every TX school but iffy on applying to baylor (would I even have a shot there?). I'm fine with applying OOS because I qualify for the fee assistance program with AAMC, so I have free applications for ~15 OOS schools. I know it's not likely to get in OOS, but what schools should I consider??

- Good leadership positions
- ~100 shadowing hours
- 300+ volunteering hours with underserved communities
- 200+ research hours (no pubs, just poster presentations)
Baylor and UTSW you can pass on, but all other TX schools are fine. For OOS MD schools, that's a no-go, but you're fine for any DO school.
