can anyone tell me the deal with the university of tennessee? i talked with dr. coleman on the phone and he made it seem like his dental school has such high stats blah blah.

pre-dents says there AA average is an 18 but he is claiming 20.

also, why is this school not part of AADSAS?

thanks!

I called them to request an application but never ended up filling it out because I was told they only accept a few out of staters (8 total). It is possible that instate, you can have a lower DAT, but they want very competitive out of state applicants.

As far as not being part of AADSAS. Maybe they don't feel like reviewing so many applications. They seem to REALLY promote accepting primarily TN residents. Oddly, it seems like many southern schools are like this ie. Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, LSU, MUSC. It's strange to me. You would think they would want diversity.
