Hey ya'll I am reapplying this fall and am trying to decide whether to re-take both chemistry classes over the summer (at the same time). I got a C+ in both of them freshman year and I know I can do better. I am taking them at a community college so I know they will be easier but my question is do you all think it's possible to do at the smae time? Any tips?

Thanks.

It is possible. But I feel like chemistry is Better off not taken at the same time. Why Don't you take chem1 over the summer and chem 2 in the fall?

I took chem 1 and chem 2 over the summer a few years ago albeit it wasn't concurrent. it was one right after the other which is usually the case for most schools. It wasn't easy and took over my summer but it was well worth it.

I took Chem 2 last summer as a 7 week course. It was tedious, but it wasn't horrible. Summer classes, in my experience, can even be simpler since some information must be left out in order to complete the course in 7 weeks.

On another note, are you sure you can take them concurrently? In most cases, chem 1 must be completed before chem 2 can be taken since a lot of fundamentals carry over from the first course.

Take them over the summer and get it over with. I took Chemistry I for six weeks in May and June and Chemistry II in July and August for six weeks. It's possible. If you don't want to do that, you can take Chemistry I in the summer and then Chemistry II in the fall. Don't wait, or else you might forget some of the key concepts you learned in Chemistry I.

Yes I am currenty registered for both of them. I have taken both of them earlier and got a C+ in both so they let me enroll. I emailed the teacher and he advised against it. However, I think this would be simpler because it is a small JUCO that is offering the course and I am no longer an immature freshman who doesnt study....
