Please please help. Should i go to Michigan interview?

I am already accepted to school. I recently got interview from Umich in January 25
I know that Umich is a really good school. I have to send deposit 1000 dollars for Case. But right now i am really tight on money.

1/ Should i ignore the money factor and go to interview? I am afraid i will regret later down the road and will always ask "what if" questions.
2/ What do you think post-Dec chance at Michigan?

your doctorate education is like a game at this point. 1000$ will not matted years from now. If I were you i would give the deposit at the latest date and go to another interview.

I have the same situation with me. However, i got accepted to my #1 choice, so i will not go to any other interviews.

1000$ is NOTHING if you are talking about substantially larger amounts and, not to mention, your future

From what I heard last year, Michigan accepted 70 ppl pre Dec and 30 Post
I think you still have a chance

same dilemma here. I guess it just depends if you will absolutely go to michigan if accepted. i have an interview set for jan 11 but i think im going to withdraw

think about what will Michigan will give you that you already do not have in a school that accepted you? Better price? Better/ close to home location? Some specific reason like specific research option?

Those figures are probably for the number of seats, the number of acceptances is probably higher since people turn down acceptances to go to other schools 😉

Yeah I feel the same. I have an interview for January 11...I was invited way before the Dec. 1 deadline though. I just Got accepted to Pitt, Nova, and UConn though, so now I'm debating between Pitt and Michigan (if accepted, and it's in-state for me)...suggestions?

Go to the interview if you have even the slightest interest in the school. It's a great school and you worked so hard to get an interview there. Money is replaceable. The chance to find out if this school is the best fit for you is not replaceable experience. I do not have a ton of money right now, but I would go. I would find a way.
