Unbelievable--

The lists on Scutwork.com have been TAKEN DOWN by some jerks just in time for when they're really needed--crazy me--wasn't paranoid enough to save these lists to my hard drive before hand.

Please help me out. Could you post the unmatched lists if you have them?

This could really save my a$$ on Scramble Day.

Thanks--good luck.

i don't see anything wrong with anyone providing you with old unmatched lists (2005 and below) but please don't break the law and post the 2006 list during scramble time to benefit those who lo$t a lot of dollar$ already to NRMP and ERA$. 😱

good luck with the match :luck:

The list on Scutwork was last year's list-it won't help you at all this year. This year's list won't be available until Tuesday. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to post the list (in the e-mail from NRMP, it says not to give out the list to anyone who hasn't registered for NRMP). Also the list keeps changing and getting updated as people start getting the residency spots, so it would be impossible to keep updating the list.

I know last year someone posted the unfilled list to SDN, after they had found a spot in the scramble.

Why do you need the list posted on SDN to "save your a$$ on Scramble Day?" Why can't you go to the dean's office like every other student in the country or log on to the NRMP website where they post it for unmatched students?

Most likely because this person did not register with the NRMP.

Well that is what I figured. I am just wondering why this person thinks that they should have an unfair advantage over the people who did register.

I'm back to clarify for the future genius docs who don't get it. I asked for lists--plural. I also asked at a time when it was impossible to provide this year's list (singular), which I am not requesting. Since it's illegal. Since I could get it myself. Since etc.

I trusted that this, along with familiarity with those lists OF YEARS PAST which were up until last week on scutwork, would make it abundandantly clear that it would be great to have the lists from past years. I SAID PAST YEARS--YA HEAR, SONNY??

True, "past performance is no indication of future outcomes"--nonetheless, I would like to have the history if anyone could be so kind as to post it. It is appreciated.

Pay attention, you suckas who don't!

Thanks, then. Especially to the non brain-dead majority. Good luck Thursday.

YEAH

Do a search for "unfilled AND positions" -- there was a thread in the gen residency forum for last year that listed all the unfilled spots, not sure about prior to 2005...

Dude, calm down. Perhaps I am one of the brain-dead majority, but I (and I think the others here as well) would like to help if possible, and still misunderstood the reasoning behind your initial post.
Now I'm curious - how are you planning to use the previous lists on Scramble day?

Since all of us are a little OCD, I agree that it would be useful to have the previous year's lists of unmatched spots. Technically it might not help but in reality it is just one more "list" to pour over and analize. I saved last year's list for neuro and considered those listed when initially applying.
Just let the guy have the info in peace. If you thought you might be scramblin' - you might want it too.
Good Luck!

Here you will see that NO WHERE DO YOU MENTION LAST YEARS OR PREVIOUS YEARS LISTS AT ALL.

So maybe you should calm down.

i can see the OP's thinking. He/she just wanted to see which programs did not fill last year (not that it means they did not fill this year) just so he/she can get an early jump on possible availabilities. Of course i think its illegal for him to contact the schools to 'just see' if they did not fill again this year. Either way, the OP can at least look up the school's website so he/she doesn't waste time tommorow morning.

Repeat after me: "Pay attention, you suckas that don't!"

(I had said: the non brain-dead majority)

Hello!? Anybody home? Hello, brain dead minority (one more time all together now):

"Pay attention, you suckas that don't!" (you don't know who you are, probably)....

(Jeez--they're going to kill people in July, aren't they?????!!!!!)

YES--for all the obvious reasons, it is good to have the historic lists...If you don't get it still, and you're holding on tight (with both hands!) to those lists: Keep 'em!

(Like I said, I really don't NEED them in any absolute way. Jeez...what would it take for these people to give a little. Wait! They're going to be the most altruistic of all professions: doctors! Altruistic my azz.)

Thanks for those who get it. You are the reason I have the strength to still carry on..

I don't know if it's a match violation or not, but I've got last year's unfilled PDF if anyone wants it. PM me or email [email protected].

If this violates some statute, I'm totally fine with not providing the list. I just don't really know...I'm lucky that I actually filled out all the crap I needed for the match and actually matched today. So, disabuse me if I'm breaking some law.

As mentioned, I don't really see how it would be unfair or overly helpful to anyone this year...so it doesn't seem like it should be a violation of anything.

Actually, I'll just attach it here in awhile unless there's debate on the ethics of it. I guess if Scutwork took their's down, there's a reason for it.

To those studying for any of the Steps or COMLEXes. Above is a fine example of a Manic patient. Know that treatment options usually include Li, atypical antipsychotics, and a sedative of some kind.

How about the risk of nephrogenic DI?

Listen, tool. You obviously werent clear enough with your post, because you pretty much got the same answer from everyone. Suck it up and move on, I can see why you are concerned with the scramble with your charming personality.

What an insipid dolt. Please... please self-prescribe.

I think YEAH is just upset he/she didn't match - cut em some slack! You know how people get when things go bad 😳 Good luck YEAH, hope you find a slot.

You guys are brutal... just brutal 😛

But his post is from 3/10/06, 3 days before anyone found out if they matched. More likely he didn't go through the NRMP and knew he'd be scrambling from the outset....

i am totally offended that people violote the agreement - like these guys did

Hmmm...just by chance the person(s) who posted the list just happened to have "forgotten" to paste the list for IM and Surg. There's only the list for FP, OB, Rads, Anes, PM&R.

I thought it was interesting because it had the OB/GYN results, which was the only thing I was interested in since that's the specialty I matched into.

Medicine (C,P,T) are up now. Well it appears that I didn't go below my #2 since it didn't fill

All the ones that I ranked got filled. Oh well have no idea and will find out Thursday. Looks like IM was pretty popular this year....

MedLaw, out of curiosity, why would you want to look at this? The list for IM is included on the IMG site, and as far as surgery goes, only 1 spot in the country went unfilled this year.

Also, keep in mind that looking at the list does not guarantee that you will not go below certain # on your list even if that program did not match. Some very competitive programs (JH, MGH, UCSF, etc) rank fewer applicants and often have internal candidates that have done research with them for number of years fill in gaps.

I didn't see the psychiatry list either.

GS only had 1 unfilled position this year.

OHHHH SCANDALOUS - the scandal 😛

Woohoo! Looks like all of Tulane's programs filled except for 1 spot in OB/GYN! Of course, who knows how far down they had to go, but just the fact that they had enough applicants to be able to rank enough to fill is an amazing thing.

Looks like LSU-NO still has quite a few openings, though. I wonder why there's such a discrepancy?

I heard that both schools had to cut the available positions for most programs, that's why they all filled.

Give the guy a break. He is stressed! Aren't everyone's emotions running a little high right now?
He just wanted the previous year's list. Who cares what he does with them?
I enjoyed looking at the unmatched spots from this year that are posted and I matched in January in a specialty that wasn't even on the list!

Poetry, glad to see you back. Missed your baby pics around here lately.

columbia radiology did not fill...

Columbia Radiology did not fill. Johns Hopkins anesthesia did not fill. (1 spot each unfilled).

That still doesn't explain the discrepancy between the two schools.

God knows! Tulane did a better job recruiting? has a better reputation??

Thanks Penguins, got new ones in the profile 🙂 Isn't she cute, pinch her cheeks hehe

Oh I was teasing about the poor guy - I don't care what he does with the list or what "laws" he's breaking 🙄 pfftttt

Actually....I did match, through the NMRP, from a US med school! (believe it or not--who cares?)...I sought the old lists for a friend. Again, who cares if you believe it? I just wanted to speak the truth. And here's more (so put on your seat belt, if you have anything to fear from the truth, that is).

Do you think the Match is what makes my emotions run so high--or is it something else?

Yeah, it's something else.

Here it is: it's those tight pricks, the elitists, the money-grubbing, prestige-grubbing tight-wads who would sooner see a person drown than to lend them a hand. Why not just give up those lists from past years if I asked--for whatever reason? What harm could it possibly do you?? What if my request was for some sort of truly substantive help, rather than what should have been a cut-and-dry, simple-and-plane, finished-and-done deal right off the bat? Why didn't I get a quick reply without all this massive BS? The answer: there are a hell of a lot of pricks in medicine. It is a real shame.

You disgust me, and are the worst medicine has to offer. Your time will come, because with the attitudes you have, you WILL eventually be called to task for it. It may take years or a lifetime--but you will reap what you sow.

YUKKKK. I hope I never see any of your ilk in Residency. In fact--though I am no IMG (believe it or not--who cares once again), I think I would be much happier in a predominantly IMG Residency. Why? Because--on average--these foreign doctors have been so much humbler, so much warmer, so much more human and humane than the average (note: I said AVERAGE) US med grad 24 year old prick with feverish dreams of money, porsches, and hot women...I spit upon the values of these self-inflated, egotistical, pee-ons and ass-huggers. What a repulsive group...

Good luck to all the rest of you my colleagues--I mean the truly dedicated, open-hearted, kind doctors. Those who are dedicating themselves to medicine because they want to fight suffering. Who give their all for this goal--those 5-10% that it seems to me I find of that true-calling. You are the mold in which we should all strive to be cast as physicians. I am sorry to subject you to this bile as well as the ones who deserve it so richly.

As one famous outcast once said, "Sleep tight, ya *****s".

Sleep tight.

I hear many say it is against the law to post the unfilled programs list but I am just wondering, what law? I agree it is unfair and against NRMP rules but is it really against the law? Federal, State, or Local Law? Is it a misdemeanor or a felony? Or is it along the same lines as speeding or smoking pot in Colorado? So if it is just against NRMP rules what is the punishment? Surely unfilled programs don't care if they would be willing to ink a deal w/ soemone who did not participate in the match.

This "breaking the law" shyte is just ridiculous, I laugh hysterically when I read this thread - what a bunch of woosies - "Oh I'm going to tell the NRMP on you" ACK PLEASE GOD DON'T LET ME MATCH WITH THESE TWATS! But then again, I can't stand rules so there ya go -

No one likes sticklers or tattles - have some courage, help a brother out SHEESH -

YEAH, I'm glad you matched, you're post was funny btw 😉

Penguins, make sure you tell me where you're going 🙂

It is a violation of your contractual agreement with the NRMP which you signed as condition of your being allowed access to the match.

Law2doc is probably the guy to ask about this but you can be sued for violating a contract. I think it would be unlikely that the NRMP would hunt anyone down for this.

Besides, like tactical intelligence, the value of the unfilled list decreases exponentially with every passing hour after its release. By the time some mole posts it all of the good fruit has been picked and their is nothing left but some crappy Family Medicine positions which nobody really wants (all of the good ones having been snapped up in the first half hour of the scramble).

By the second hour of the scramble if the program hasn't filled they are probably getting out the scrapers and diving to the bottom of the barrel or deciding to soldier with what they've got. It's totally irrelevant what happens to the list after about three hours.
