Hi! 🙂

Anyone go to the University of the Sciences ( USP)? I was wondering what changes they made to their professional program or any other scoop you might have.

Post here or message me whichever you prefer. Thanks! 🙂

Just accepted to USP for PharmD program. I would be very interested to hear from current USP students. How is the faculty now that some left to teach at TJ?

Hi. I'm a P2 (4th year) at USP.

Before the professional program at USP had P&T all in one year (P3/5th year). Now it's split up between P2 and P3. They split it up a little strangely though. This semester we've learned very few drugs, but we're learning a lot of priniciples like interactions, renal dosing, etc...This is because pharmacology/med chem was split up as well. This semester we have med chem and next semester and first semester of P3 we have pharmacology. Nevertheless, however it is split up, it's still at least slightly better than what the P3 students have to endure now.
They also added on a research design class and moved some classes around to accomodate for P&T being over 2 years. We also now have to take 8 credits of pharmacy electives, 4 of them therapeutic.

EDIT: just realized that this is a really old post, so no clue how relevant it is.

Thanks for posting. It's relevant for me since I am in the application process now. I got a letter from MCPHS today saying they don't have my ACT score (which I sent in August.)

We lost some good professors that left to TJ. But nevertheless, great school IMO.

Oh I see you got a job, since it says you're a "pharmacist" now. I remember you thought you wouldn't be able to get one. Where did you end up going?

Down south to DC. It was tough getting one where I lived.

And to add, if I had to go to school again, I would still chose USP. Its a small school in a small/medium neighborhood.
