Something that I see a lot of and find quite annoying is when people ask what to take, why they should take it, and how difficult it is. I've seen people tell me that calculus is going to be the most difficult course I'll ever take and that english is the simplest bird course in existence.
Lo-and-behold I take calculus and absolutely love it, can comprehend it and appreciate the beauty of it. On the other hand I take english and I struggle through it wondering how it could ever be considered simple.
If you want to take physical chemistry, linear algebra or some course do so because you want to. Difficulty is such a relative term that it shouldn't impede anything you want to do. I'm an idiot, and I'm taking all these courses that the average person says are "Boring, difficult, tedius", but really they are interesting and enlightening.
