can any one tell the answer for these Q
1. in cell cycle which stage commits the cell for cell division?
1.G1
2.S
3.G2
4.M

2.MODE OF ACTION of antiviral drugs?

3.in hepatitis, how is the hepatocytes affected?
1.cell lysis by virus
2.an-ab reaction causes cell lysis
3.autoantibody to hepatocytes
4.T cell mediated reaction

4.which causes lateral excursion movement?
1.superior head of lateral pterygoid
2.inf head of la.pt

5.for protrusion?
1.sup head of LT
2. inf head oF LT

ans-G2?
since after completion of S phase it is most likely that the cell will continue to divide? and G2 prepares the cell to divide

2.MODE OF ACTION of antiviral drugs?
zidovudine-reverse trancriptase inhibition
ganciclovir ,acyclovir, vidabarine-inhibits viral DNA polymerase
amanatidine-inhibition of virus penetration into host cell
rimanatidine-act on maturation of influenza HA glycoprotein so that progeny virions are poorly infective.

3.in hepatitis, how is the hepatocytes affected?
1.cell lysis by virus
2.an-ab reaction causes cell lysis
3.autoantibody to hepatocytes
4.T cell mediated reaction
t-cell mediated? since viral proteins maybe expressed on the hepatocyte, which is in turn targeted by cytotoxic t cells?

4.which causes lateral excursion movement?
1.superior head of lateral pterygoid
2.inf head of la.pt

5.for protrusion?
1.sup head of LT
2. inf head oF LT
inferior head

both upper and lower heads of lateral pterygoid helps in protrusion..but inferior head is only protrusion ..so i guess it is inferior ?head (stedman's medical dictionary)

correct me if im wrong

hi
1.M

2,3 inferior head of LT is synergism with suprahoid where as superior is antagonist to suprahoid.....

so inferior head is for jaw closure,forward...superior head is inactive and function in stabilize the condyle with disc
