Assuming that P
50=26 torrs, underconditions

where p02
=30 torrs, the average number of
oxygen molecules bound per hemoglobin

molecule is closest to
A 0.5.
B less than 1.
C almost 2.
D greater than 2.(ANS)
E greater than 3.
COULD ANYONE PLZ EXPLAIN ME HOW???

P50 is the pressure at which 1/2 O2 is bound to Hg. The higher the pressure, the more O2 is bound (such as arteries near the lungs). The lower the pressure, the less O2 is bound (such as capillaries, tissues, etc). It asks about P = 30 which is JUST above 26. On average at P50 there will be 1/2 O2 bound. Since Hg holds 4, at P50 it holds 2. With the actual pressure just above the half point, there will be just over 1/2 O2 bound. So the answer is over 2 O2. You can't say for sure that there are 3 (there most likely aren't with only a 4 torr difference).
