plz help with this math problem

?? Not sure either....but I attached a similar problem that maybe someone can help out with. Here is what I tried though...

A= (1/2)(B)(H)

So to get the Height, I tried to use the Distance Formula to get the "height" of one of the sides. However, I keep getting weird numbers like: Square root of 53 and then Square root of 61.

Hey froggbuster, I have a question regarding topscore. Ive been getting 20-21 in oc and gc. from your experience, is that the score i should expect on the real DAT or can I expect my score to be higher?

If this is for area...look at points B and C. You see the coordinates are (7,7) and (7,3). Just subtract the Y coordinates and you get difference in height of 4 and that is the height of one of the sides. Then you look at A and B, just figure out the difference of teh X coordinates (it will be 7) and then do 1/2(bxh) and youll get .5(4x7) or 14

Higher for OC, but for GC it really depends on how careful you are on the real test. It's easy to make dumb mistakes in this section because there's a lot of math. In general I would say higher though.
