1 ugly ducking stage? it's a physiological stage of tooth development, happens when max canines start their eruption and cause a space between the two upper centrals..it's self corrective as canines move down and change their axes of eruption.

anti bacterial >>some alter taste too but the anti fungal drugs and their side effects on bud taste are well documented. anti depressant, antihypertensions....long list of drugs can do that too!!
