i have a doubt . is that observation ship or observership . how to write. as i have written as observership in the sop i m confused by viewing some post which mention as observationship. plz clarify

My known(native american) told me that there is no as such word of Observership in English( it also show incorrect in word document). He said rather I should write " I do observations in clinic" But I don't think it should be written like that.
I am confused too with this word, so pls give more views.
