Hi,

I'm a transitional year intern about to begin a month-long rotation in a busy inner city ED. Can anyone recommend a good pocket-sized manuel that would be helpful?

Thanks.

The baby Tintinalli ($45) is quite good, but perhaps more than you need for just a month.

if you don't want to pick up the baby tintinalli, you could try "pocket emergency medicine." or, the tarascon people (the pharmacopoeia writers) also publish an "adult emergency pocketbook." both are relatively inexpensive and quite useful.

good luck,
