Hey folks, any advice for a new CA-1 regarding useful Pocket PC programs? I have the Barash PDA version, Epocrates, and Archimedes. Are there any other must-haves?
Thanks.

Thanks.

You also need:
Brick
Music Quiz
Parachute
and Solitaire

If you are investing in a PDA you would be remiss not to have "The Manual of Anesthesia Practice" sold by skyscape. Another must have for a newbie is the "Anesthesia Clinical Tutor Calculator" available at gasshead.com

Skyscape is the devil; flawed software, at least for Palm. But my program just gave me a pocket PC so i hope I am safe. anyways, where can I get free medical software? They gave us the pocketPC 👍 but no software 👎 .

Those are pretty good. Skyscape also has the Mass Gen program and a pretty good anesthesia drug book ( Sota Omigui something).

Look at the anesthesiology constellation from skyscape. I has Anesthesia Drugs, Clinical Anesthesia, and the drug interactions. It is pretty good and it even comes in a 256MB memory card so you can still put a lot of other programs in there.

three great ones by skyscape: nurse drug handbook , anesthesia drugs, archimedes, i also bought barash but never use it...good luck

I have Sota Omuigui's anesthesia drug handbook for PocketPC and I think it's quite good, although a big ripoff for such a small program at $70 from Skyscape.
