Pod Application Question - Help!!

In the online primary Podiatry application, they ask if you applied or planning on applying to other Health professions (allopathic, osteopathic...etc).

If you put "yes", does that minimize your chances to get accepted to a Pod school? Does anyone have any suggestions whether I should worry about this question (put "no" on the app, cuz how will they ever find out where else i applied) or just be honest and not worry??

I'm applying to both Pod and DO schools.

i put allopathic and submitted it because at first i was leaving my options open to stay close to home (mom wanted me to). I got all the interviews i was wanting. Just be sure if you are applying podiatry is what you want to do and not have it as a backup plan if you dont get into DO. The whole time i was sure of myself wanting to become a pod. for i have shadowed and had all those experiences that really showed me thats the direction i wanted to go in my life. So to be short, dont worry about it, you may be questioned about it in your interview, but be sure podiatry is for you and not a back up.

BTW, what school have you interviewed so far? And what Pod school would you recommend?

I'm located in Cali and hope to go to CSPM (Samuel Merritt) or Azpod.

the best thing for you to do is just take both of those interviews (saying that you get them) and see which school is most suited for you. I personally found DMU had all the right options for me in and out of school. But its completely up to you. both of those schools you're interested in are well respected schools. so good luck with your search 🙂 youll find a school that fits your style 😉
