Just curious to see how many people actually have failed the comlex 2CE more than once. I'm really nervous right now waiting for my retake results and I'm looking to see what my chances are of failing again based on statistics. Thanks for your help!

Come on, If you take the time to look at this thread at least take the time to click on one of the above choices!
I need some feed back please!?

Take these hearsay stats as facts since they will probably be the closest thing to an actual number since the NBOME is so close lipped about the entire evaluation process.

90-95% of you will pass.
Of the 5-10% of you who fail, half of you will pass the second time around. Of course better in mind, you probably did everything correct during your first time. They just didn't make their revenue quota.
Third time takers are rare, but they do happen. Look, if my friend, who speaks VERY broken English can pass during their second time around, anyone can.

I have no way of substantiating these numbers since the NBOME refuses to give out the exact numbers and will never thoroughly explain the method of their evaluation. You WILL NOT get a full explaination of your results. You will only know these words: BIOMECHANICAL DOMAIN and HUMANISTIC DOMAIN, and which one you sucked at more.

Good luck to you because I truly believe that it is more a lottery of who passes rather than actual clinical acumen.

You're referring to the COMLEX PE. The OP is talking about the CE, which is the computer exam.

Hi there,

I sadly spoke to a friend of mine who just got back their scores yesterday. Said that they (a friend too) had failed by 1 point (two digit score). Based on the conversation, it sounds like a very different and much harder test than I took. I am hating to hear of experiences such as these, in which is seems that the COMLEX (PE AND CE) are not the fairest nor standardized of exams. This friend of mine was doing better on USMLE world than I did, and I passed COMLEX CE.
