  1. Pre-Medical
Hello, I am a California resident with a 3.7 GPA and a 3.8 BCPM GPA. I have not taken the MCAT yet but I have taken all the prereqs and have been getting an average of 38 on the practice tests (I know they are only practice tests. My ECs are:

Leadership:
- Student Advisor (1.5 years)
- Up til Dawn Executive Board (Raised $5,000 for St. Jude Hospital)

Medical/Volunteer:
- Orthopedic Surgeon Shadowing (50 hours total 20 in the OR)
- International Hospital Volunteer Nepal (50 hours in the ER, 50 in pediatric physical therapy)
- EMT-Basic Certified (No work yet, too busy)

Research:
- T. Vag Research (4 semesters, no publications yet)
- Marine Biology Trip to Great Barrier Reef

Misc.:
- Promoter for a minor league (ECHL) hockey team
- In a performing band (electronic music about 3 shows a month)
- Travel Entusiast (Backpacked in Nepal, Australia and Thailand)

Also, I would consider my LORs to be very strong: Dean of Engineering, Dean of Chemistry, Dean of Biology, a well established ortho surgeon, my research supervisor and a friend who got kicked out of school but graduated because of me.

What I am wondering is, what chance do I have of getting into medical school in general?

I think you just need to chill...get a MCAT in the range of your practice tests and you should have no problem.
