I've emailed a couple of the schools that I want to apply to but have not got anything back on this.

Most schools list pre-req classes fairly vague in regards to the calculus and statistics requirement.

My question is this, is any general class in those usually accepted? i was thinking would polynomial calculus work and would perhaps a psychology statistics class work?

Anybody have any experience with this?

Thanks

Make sure you take a calculus course for science and math majors. Do not take a business calculus course, as schools will usually not accept it. As for stats, follow the above guideline as well...make sure it is a statistics course offered through your school's math department. But like I say, if in doubt, spit it out....make sure to ask someone from admissions at the pharmacy schools you are interested in. 👍

Go to the school's undergrad course catalog. Pull up the specific course they recommend for their pre-pharmacy coursework. See what all it covers either via the description, outline, syllabus, etc. Then compare it to the same for your course. I'm taking psych statistics and every school I applied to accepted it. One did ask for an email from the school to verify it, so I had the department chair email them. Introductory statistics is the same no matter if its business, behavioral science, or math. Its just that the problems given will be more related to the field its taught from.

But, as always, your mileage may vary. The best source is always going to be the school in question. Continue to push them for a definitive answer.
