Pros

• MD helpful for matching for more competitive residencies/specialties
• Affiliated with a large hospital in the city
• Saint Louis medical hub for research/collaboration

Cons

• Newer campus although they have an established campus in Puerto Rico, uncertainties with board scores, education, matching

Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine DO
Pros

• I thoroughly enjoyed the school through the process
• Close to home
• I know what I am getting, very solid board scores and match list
• Associated with Southeast healthcare system (in house residencies)

Cons

• Not necessarily a con, but everyone always says MD>DO, but this is a unique situation

Summary: Unique MD v DO matchup that I cannot decide so looking for guidance. I love everything about ACOM and know I am getting a good education, but would the MD from Ponce be that valuable, especially with uncertainties of the newer campus?
