Positions not offered via match?

I was looking at the match tables on the NRMP website and it has 1,026 PGY-1 postions for psych and 95.8% filled in 2005. Then I looked at Neurology and there was only 43 positions. There were no PGY-2 positions for Neurology. So I am wondering if there are a lot of positions outside the match in neuro. There has to be more than 43 total positions.

well i believe neuro and a few other specialities go mainly by the SF Match, not the NRMP match. i was suprised that there are some neuro progs that use nrmp.
