Hey Doctors, I just have a question in regards to positive aspiration and what is the correct procedure to follow when I get a positive aspiration when giving an injection? If you can provide a useful and informative link to your answer that would be much appreciated. Thanks.🙂

do i just move my needle and inject or do i have to change a whole new anaesthetic cartridge?

think so,more specifically, back out slightly and reposition. warn the patient they might get a little bruise.

Keep the same carp as long as you can still see what's coming back on aspiration. If it's dark red you might want to change, but that sucks for the patient because you have to take out the needle to do that.
