Possible Mess-up with Gap Year Activity Reporting on Application

Hello,

I recently learned from several people that they listed their gap year job with an estimate of how many hours they would get on their activity list in their AMCAS application.

I didn't do that; instead, I just wrote that I would be starting a scribe job later this year for any secondaries that asked about my gap year.

Is this something that could majorly affect my application? If so, when would be a good time to update schools about it?

It will not majorly affect your applications. Forecasted hours are not the same as actual hours anyways. Unlikely to make a huge difference on a decision for an interview invite. Do your scribing and mention during interviews and post-interview updates to the schools.
