Hello,

So here's my story. I graduated in May with a BS in Microbio. Had a cumm. GPA of 3.007 and a 24Q MCAT, obviously with those stats I had no shot at any US school. So after ebing turned away from several school I applied to the big 3 carib schools and was accepted to two. I have everything ready to attend Ross in September. Now here comes my question, what can I do as far as post-bac to get into a US school? How long will I need to wait to reapply? I know I would need to retake the MCAT. How likely am I to get in to a US school after a post-bac program? Any help is greatly appreciated.

1. Pull your MCAT to the 27+ range
2. Raise your ugrad GPA to 3.4/3.5 via post-bacc courses, OR go to a masters' program for people who need to strengthen their credentials (which would not raise your ugrad GPA, but has its own merits)
3. Get plenty of clinical experience
4. Consider DO school

I would go to a DO school before a caribbean school because you will have a better opportunity of specializing. If you are content with Family practice, go to the caribbean.
