This program caught my attention:

http://northumbria.ac.uk/?view=CourseDetail&code=DUFBMS4

I emailed Northumbria, no response yet.

Just wondering what some US students think about doing this rather than post bac work after college (if our grades in college are a bit shady). Honestly, the coursework looks very challenging...its almost like an "SMP in the UK."

Is it possible to apply to this as a "stand alone"(rather than joint MD with SGU) program as well and them reapply to SGU (august or jan admission).

According to two student profiles...one graduate had a BA from the US, another a BS from some university in Canada.

The website also states "Applications are welcomed from a wide range of backgrounds and qualifications. Please contact us for more advice before making an application"

If I could get into this as US student I might consider doing this instead of additional post bac work.

I think the program you are refering to is the SGU/UK program.
You can apply to SGU for the 4 year program and do first year in the UK.
Look it up on the SGU website they should have info on there.
