I was wondering whether anyone would be willing to provide a detailed description of the financial aid process for post-baccs, or provide a link to a past forum that describes it at length.

Do post-baccs only have access to private loans?

What are people talking about when they say they are going to enroll as second-bachelor's status? Are they literally going to complete a second bachelor's degree or are they just usually that status to get financial aid (grants, etc.)?

Are there any schools that are known for providing financial aid to their post-baccs?

Thanks!

I know that SMPs, you will basically get no financial aid (the free money kind). You can apply for loans though. That is the extent of financial aid in SMP and most likely Post-baccs as well.

I've been told that postbacs qualify under 5th year undergraduate and is eligible for up to 12,500$ in Direct Stafford loans.

i don't know what the story is for all schools, but this is the case for mine. all you have to do is apply for finaid as a 5th yr undergrad, even if the school technically clumps you with graduate studies. i would call the advisor though just to make sure.
