I've been searching the forums for an answer to my question, but I haven't really found a clear cut answer so I figured I'd ask. Here's the deal: I graduated undergrad in May with a degree in Accounting, but have decided that I want to pursue dentistry. I started out as a Biology major so I already took the majority of science pre-reqs in my first few undergrad years. This year I am going back to school to take physics, microbiology, and ochem II. I am on no sort of post-bacc program or anything, I just applied to school and registered for the classes I needed. Now my question is how will those factor into GPA. I understand there is a post-bacc gpa but will these grades also be factored into my overall and science gpas? What I'm trying to say is will my physics and ochem grades be factored into science gpa the same as they would if i had have taken them in my undergrad years? Thanks for your help!

yes....your scores will all be part of the same GPA. All you're doing is taking undergrad classes....post graduation.....post bac is a masters degree...in either case.....even a post bac gpa will be added to your current gpa......only difference is that dental schools preferentially look at masters degree applicants as more competitive.
