Hi . I’m currently looking to apply to medical school in the near future. I’m currently a senior and studied abroad in Germany last semester.

I am thinking of doing a post bacc in Germany ( molecular biology) to improve my science grades ( mostly B’s).

I found a great molecular biology program at the International Max Planck Research School.

Is it advisable?
Am I correct to deduce your sciGPA is closer to 3.0 than 3.5?

If you are thinking about a research career, that would be a great opportunity. If you want to do medical school in the US, stay in the US.

No US medical school application service (AMCAS, TMDSAS, or AACOMAS) accepts international transcripts (except for American Colleges Overseas which are affiliated with US schools), so grades earned in Germany will not be incorporated into your med school application GPAs.

You don't specify whether you're looking for an undergraduate level postbac or grad level. Keep in mind that US MD schools primarily judge one by undergrad level grades, whereas DO med schools incorporate undergrad and grad grades together in their calculations..
