I stumbled on this site a few days ago and have gotten loads of information by reading all the old posts. I have a few generalized questions regarding a post bacc. Basically those of you that have an undergraduate GPA of around 3.0 apply to schools such as G-town and BU and from there go on to US medical schools. I was thinking that my only way to becoming an MD was through the Carribean route. I've noticed how helpful everyone is at giving different insites on peoples situations. I will graduate this year with a BS in biology. Afterwhich I will have grades that would potentially be good enough to go to GT. However, my application would not be complete until nearly the deadline of the rolling addmission for GT. Would you risk applying to GT and not getting in, basically wasting a year of tiime, or would you first get a masters, then apply to GT? Thanks for al the help/information.

I don't know about GeorgeTown but I know that from what people have posted here that a lot of premeds that realize they are not going to get in tend apply to it around March/April to BU. If you are willing to relocate get explore other programs that people have posted on here. There are plenty of threads on different MS programs, read them!
