Ok, we're all anonymous here right cause I am about to ask a dumb question. What's the difference between a post-bacc program and a Master's program? Is the former just taking classes after a 4yr degree with no graduate degree intended, and the latter a traditional graduate 2 year program?

Am I guessing right?

Sorry for the confusion, thanks though!

That's my understanding of it, although I don't have any first-hand experience in such programs. 🙂

A post bacc program is any program designed for a student after they have already earned a 4-yr degree or even a masters degree.

It can lead to a degree or not.

For ex, there are post bacc programs for people pursuing med school that are non-trad students.

these programs are put together by schools to help the students get pre-reqs.

so basically its anything if you already have a degree

right, but you dont have to do a formal one put together by a school. If you talk to the school you're intending on applying to, they can suggest classes to take. I'm doing my own a la carte post bacc based on what my school suggested, plus classes I needed to retake anyway.

Oh ok, that makes sense.

Thanks for the replies!
