post-bacc programs for pre-dental?

Hey guys, I'm kind of new to the forums. Wanted to introduce myself and my current situation/dilemma. I am currently attending a community college (started attending this past fall), taking science courses in order to fulfill prerequisites for dental school. I graduated from UCLA with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Asian American Studies. My GPA was 2.68 🙁 . I've been searching through the Postbaccalaureate Programs Forum as well as the Pre-dental Forum but cannot find any information regarding post-bacc programs dedicated towards pre-dental students. I want to take courses at a university to show that I can hack it out. So far I've researched and found that many of the programs are for pre-med students and for those applicants who have not been accepted to programs. I have some specific questions to ask: Are there any post-bacc programs in Southern California specifically targetted towards pre-dental students that have no science background? What is the application process like for these post-bacc programs (when can I apply for a program)? Sorry for the essay. Any information or opinions on my situation would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

I plan to stay in California and attend one of the dental schools here. UCLA or USC would be awesome. I just have to keep working at it in order to complete that plan. Where are you looking to attend ValidPoint?

i honestly don't know... i' am considering a masters right now.. then i guess go from there.. do u know people who have done masters and gotten in?

hey! i am starting a post bac in the fall at Drexel University in Philadelphia. I am planning on attending dental school as well. All the post bac programs designed for students with little background apply to dental applicants as well. They are primarily for med students, but also work for dental, pharmacy or vet school. I do not think there are programs designed just for dental school. I hope this helps you.

hi typea........thanks for the info...... what made u want to do this program as opposed to some kind of masters or some other type of post bacch. 😕
