I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the UC (University of California) Post Bacc programs. I am a bit confused on the timeline of these programs. My plan is to take a Gap year between Undergrad and Medical School, and with that plan, I know I'd apply to med schools during my final year of undergrad or shortly after as the application opens for submission in June. Now, with the Post Bacc programs they start in June with MCAT Prep. So if I were going to apply to a post bacc, from what it seems, I'd have 2 "Gap Years" the one where I am in the post Bacc and then a year following completion. Is this timeline correct, or am I missing something somewhere?

Thanks

Not sure if you still need an answer: But yes, you are correct. Post bacc depending on how “not great your gpa is” or how long you’ve been out of school will range from 1-3 years not including the “glide year”. So 4 in total before med school(this is worst case scenario). I had barely any science classes and the good ones are out of date last took in 2009. So, I literally have to retake everything (ahhh!).
