hey guys,
I have some questions to ask..
I graduated fall 2010 and applied 2011 cycle and haven't heard from schools yet.
Now I am starting post bacc on Jan.2012 to boost my sgpa and planning to re-apply for 2012 cycle(apply june 1, 2012).
Now here are some of my questions.

Do you think dental schools will still look at only one semester of post bacc sgpa towards 2012 cycle?(I am still planning to take course on fall 2012) cause I need one year to finish my post bacc but if i wait til finishing up post bacc I would have to apply 2013 cycle...which i have to wait 2more years..
And I am texas resident and wanting to go to texas schools..

second things is does neuroscience courses count towards sgpa? cuz the school recommended me that I should take neuroscience courses

thank for your comments!

what is your bcp and science gpa? generally 1 semester of postbacc isnt sufficient but u can apply and hope they care enough to ask u for an academic update and not just reject you

I know peeps that had around 3.1/3.2 undergrad gpa, did a 1 year masters and got in after just a semester of grades.

I'm not sure what your GPA is, but I'd definitely take as many high-level science courses as possible (while still getting good grades) this semester.

I'm also a Texas resident who didn't hear back from Texas schools this year. I'd planned on take 18 credits of upper-level Biology courses this semester to reapply. But as I'd just gotten into an OOS school -- I think I'll forgo that. But I do think even a semester, if you take enough courses, will help. 18 credits of A's would've increased my sGPA by at least .2 grade points, which is quite a bit.
