Hi everybody! I'm a graduating senior from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, and I came into college as a biochemistry major with the intent of going right into medical school following my graduation. However, life rarely works out that way, and financial pressures combined with coming out as an LGBT individual really took a toll on my grades especially during my second year of school. Because of this, I elected to change my major to business to try to get my GPA back on track before pursuing medicine when I was in a more steady place. Right now I have a 3.1 cGPA, and I was wondering how to really proceed with this. I was lucky enough to have a research position at Georgia Tech within the BME department for 1.5 years and I have completed a internship at Emory in cancer research. I was wondering what I can do to make myself more competitive for post-bacc programs either this cycle or the next, and what post-bacc programs to apply to (academic record enhancement or career changer), as medicine has been a dream and passion of mine since I was a child.
