This is actually only my 2nd post, but I come here often and read what other people have to say. :-D You all feel like family, lol.

So here goes:
I took my test on the 22nd! First of all, I have to say I am glad it's done- but that doesn't matter. I am going to end up retaking it.

I did really good in some areas but for some reason QR just killed me 🙁. I had a problem pacing myself- and then I forgot some of the concepts, and then I just felt like I didn't know any thing (I am pretty sure I panicked and then I was just fried). Chemistry and Bio could have been better, but I think the next go round I will do great.

Sooo, I got an over all 17 (which I am told is average).
QR 13
RC 24
PAT 20
Bio 17
GC 17
OC 16

I am taking this as an idea of my weak areas- also that I need to find more time to study. The next time I go in I will be right there knowing what I need to know (does any one know if Shaums Chem review is any good?).

Any way; QR-
Any good ideas to help me with this area?? I guess I need all the help I can get- the others I can muggle through on my own.

Also- I'll retake it in Nov 🙂scared🙂, but if the deadline for apps for schools is Dec, do I still have a good chance at acceptance if I let them know that I am going to retake the exam?

first of omg that is a killer reading score. good job. As for Qr I hear its the least important of all teh sections but you still obviously dont want a low score to affect your avg. Check out purple math and know all basic concepts. there are tons of review books on math. But i think strategy is important here considering the timing. I havent taken it yet but I plan on doing all non word problems first on the exam and then go back to try word problems. You need a lil more than half correct answers to pull off a 17. Improve your sciences and maintain reading and your set!! as for deadlines i have no clue.

can you give some advice on the reading and your approach?

Qr.....

Guess, mark it, move on....Getting stuck, slowing down, etc will kill. By marking and proceeding you can cycle to the Q's you're able to complete, hard to do/remember to do during the test, but just program yourself ahead of time.
