Hello!

Do I still need to do anything after taking the DAT? I updated my scores in AADSAS, but I was wondering if I need to have the score report sent to anyone/anywhere? I vaguely remember choosing to have them sent to all schools when I signed up to take it, I believe...?

And if there IS a post DAT process that takes awhile, should I be emailing admissions my unofficial score report..?

Secondly, I retook the DAT and increased my AA from a 20 to a 21... QR was the only section that went down (21 --> 19) and all others improved! Not sure if my chances are improved or not and what the respective percentile associations are with those scores.

Any help on either matter (especially the first) is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!! 🙂

Hey! So you don't need to do anything else as long as you selected at least one school at the time of your DAT application (when you were registering to take the DAT). If you did, you're fine.

It does take a while to post your scores up/have them become official, so yes I'd email your unofficial score report out to schools!

And you improved your scores! That's really good, and a 19 in QR is not bad at all- it's still a decently high score. You've gone up to above average for those that matriculate into dental school (their average is about 20.4) so your chances have increased- well done!

Good luck applying!
