Post Dec Columbia Interviews

They made it clear we will only hear via snail mail and the review committee wouldn't be meeting till the first week of January. We'll see if the snow causes any delay, I interviewed post-Dec and they also predicted about half of the first wave of acceptances would mail them deposits. I believe the first wave included 60 acceptances...

The first wave of acceptances was 90 according to Dr. Davis. GL!

I havent heard anything from them but really hoping for an interview!!!!!!!

Hope that less than 45 out of 90 have sent their deposits:xf: although I'm sure that it's most likely not the case
 
any one got through to their office to ask when the second round of acceptances are going through?
 
No, it seems according to the trend last year on predents.com, individuals (2 people) who interviewed before christmas break, at earliest heard back January 22nd.
 
does anyone know if Columbia has finished with their interview invitations yet?
 
Still nothing from everyone is what it seems. However, I presume that we will hear by next week as that has been the trend (according to predents) for at least those who interviewed in December like myself.....
 
Hey operationteeth, where do you live? Assuming the East Coast....I was there with you in at the interview too! Hope to hear something soon although it will be sent to Idaho

Congrats on your interview invitation!

If you don't mind me asking, what dates have you been offered for your interview? How were you notified?

Also, what's your stat like and when was you app submitted?

They didn't give me dates. It just said, reply if you are still interested. I guess they will give me dates after I reply. It was by e-mail. My GPA is close to 4. My DAT was 22. I applied to Columbia not that long ago, before winter break I think.

Anyway, I don't think I'm going to go to the interview. Everything about Columbia sounds awesome, but I have been accepted to my state school already. Its hard to reason myself into going to Columbia when it costs ~100k more (330k of Columbia vs 210k of staying in-state, although in-state tuition will likely increase quite a bit).
 
Does anyone know how long it usually takes Columbia to respond yo your interview request via email? I received an interview recently and emailed them back with perspective dates that work for me, but I haven't gotten a confirmation for a date yet via email. thanks in advance! 🙂

I emailed on a Sunday and she emailed back Tuesday morning.

A couple of days ago, and thanks Al1ygator I guess I will wait a few more days for a response.

I interviewed dec 17th and haven't heard yet. They said mid to end of jan we would hear.
 
Just curious, how many do they interview on a given day?
 
Just got an interview from Columbia, but will be turning it down.
