Hey,

I am new here and this is my first post. This looks like a great forum.

In the middle of my post-doc search, some of my friends have accepted offers. I was wondering if most sites have extended interviews and offers yet. Just wondering if the majority of the positions have been filled? Are we early in the season?

Also would like to know if there are any good post docs in the Kansas City area.

I'd guess that we're midway through the season, but you should be hearing back from sites soon. My site already made offers, but I expect a few more slots to open up when a few current postdocs finalize their negotiations for faculty jobs. Last year, we had an opening that was filled in late April immediately after a current postdoc accepted a job.
