Both. Their rank lists have been done since the last week of January, and they do initiate contact.

I would still rank it high🙂! It's a fantastic program, great chair (with lots of vision for the department), brand new facility, and top notch training. I think many programs only contact their rank to match candidates, and you could still be ranked very highly and not contacted. It doesn't mean you won't match there. Hey, Barnes Jewish is America's top 10 hospital. I would still rank it high regardless of contacts from them🙂!

The Wash U program director just emailed me yesterday. It was a short email saying that she thought I was a good fit for their program and that she hopes to see me there this coming July. I tell you what - those programs that have been in contact with me post-interview have really gotten my attention. They are playing with my emotions, and it's working; it feels good to be wanted.

🙂 "TheSearch" posted that he/she received an e-mail from pd yesterday. today is sunday, so yesterday is saturday.

I think most people (If not everyone) got a long post-interview email from Dr. Huettner, and I thought it was a nice gesture. I personally didn't hear anymore from them afterwards, and I didn't get reply for an email I sent her around January. I don't think it would have affected how I ranked them though either way, but it would be nice to hear from programs!
