I’m wondering what happens once I’ve given my interview. Is the final decision going to be based solely on my interview, or will other components be at play? If the latter...what components are they?

Specifically, I’m nervous about stats. My MCAT is strong (99th percentile), but my GPA is fine (3.7, went to a notorious Ivy, but I dunno which adcoms care...). I get scared about schools whose average GPA is 3.9+, because even if I got my foot in the door for an interview, and subsequently had a really amazing set of interviews, I’m wondering if I’ll be held back compared to other applicants. I know that some MD-only schools (e.g. MUSC) have formulas to calculate “applicant scores” and individuals above a certain threshold will be admitted. But, given the nature of MD/PhD programs, this can’t entirely be the case, right?

This is an uncomfortably neurotic post, pls someone enlighten me 🙁
