I know it may vary from person to person, but I was wondering what are some planned questions people ask after their interview. Specifically when the interviewer asks "Do you have any questions for me/us?"

I asked about research opportunities, clinical sites (instate, out of state, and international), what sets the school apart from others, and if they have any simulation labs or anything like that. Good luck to you =)

First off I think it's great that you are preparing for this part of the interview because most people tend to fail at this point. And there's nothing worse than having a great first portion of the interview, then having the chance to ask them questions, leading to an awkward silence or the interviewee just plain sitting there trying to think of really poorly thought out questions. Take advantage of this part of the interview, its oftentimes the last impression you leave!

You definitely want to do as much research on the program as you can beforehand, so you know everything there is to know about the school you are interviewing with. But you may be asking yourself, "if I know everything about the program, what questions can I ask?". The answer is simple, ask questions you already know the answers to!

In fact, asking questions you know the answer to can help you better control the direction of the interview. Show interest in certain aspects of the program that you've read about, to let them know you've done a bit of homework. All the meanwhile leaving it open for the interviewers to discuss the specifics with you in detail, and then you can further elaborate on what makes their program stand out in your eyes based on what you already know.

It's basically like complimenting someone indirectly, if that makes sense?

I can try and give you specific examples that I've experienced if you'd like, but I'm not even sure if what I've given you so far makes much sense lol so just let me know!

Hope this helps!
